======How is God? ...======
Monday, Sept 7, 2015. Most people have asked at some point in their life: how is
God? I remember when I first asked this question myself, in my early teen years.
That time, I had a hard time with the question. How could anyone tell? Who would
know something about God? Wasn't God just the big unknown to mankind?

**Insight ...**
But I learned that we can know a lot about God. It is possible to know about him,
and to get to know him. We have massive resources about how God is. The point
is: do we want to know? And are we able to listen?
I ran into Psalm 15 this morning, where a lot about how God is is said. Let us have
a look into the Psalm, and then talk it through!
1 Lord, who can live in your sacred tent? Who can stay on your holy hill?
2 Anyone who lives without blame and does what is right. He speaks the truth from his heart.
3 He doesn't tell lies about others. He doesn't do wrong to his neighbors. He doesn't say anything bad about them.
4 He hates sinful people. He honors those who have respect for the Lord. He keeps his promises even when it hurts.
5 He lends his money without charging too much interest. He doesn't accept money to harm those who aren't guilty. Anyone who lives like that will always be secure.
(Psalm 15)

**His sacred tent ...**
The people of Israel have been accompanied by God over many years. His holy tent
was a sign and symbol of his presence. Later, the temple was built - another very
physical symbol, though it was clear that God does not need a house, that he lives
with all who believe in him in spirit and truth. But this image of his holy tent is
still a powerful image, which can make us think!
Who is worthy to live with God? Who is worthy to go to him. We all know that
we are not worthy, when we investigate ourselves thoroughly and honestly. Have you
never talked badly about others? Who could stand God's holy presence? Who would
be blameless?
But we are offered a transformation, we are offered an open door through Christ
Jesus. We are invited to come into his holy tent, with and through Jesus. And here
we find a goodness beyond measure. We find faithfulness beyond measure. We read
about great things here! They can be highly encouraging to shape our day, to
me they are. Halleluja!
